You’ll go beyond coding, you’ll apply your product-centric mindset. You'll be instrumental in shaping features from conception to deployment, ensuring they align with our users' needs and our business goals.

As a Senior Fullstack engineer at Malt, you will join a specialized squad (composed of Software engineers, Product Designer and Product Manager). Each squad is responsible for a specific business domain and will handle the full development cycle.

Key responsibilities ✹

  • As a Java/Kotlin Developer, you will integrate one of our product squads, composed of 4/5 engineers, a product manager, and a product designer. Your team will work in autonomy on a part of our product.
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of the development: technical design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Beyond the technical mastery, your ability to understand the business, propose improvements and your sense of detail will directly contribute to your success
  • We are looking for a person who is communicative, curious and eager to improve and to help others to improve
  • Our Tech Stack

  • Frontend: TypeScript, Vue.js, Nuxt, Internal Design System, Stencil.js
  • Backend : Kotlin, Java Spring Boot, Gradle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis
  • Platform: Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD, Gitlab CI 
  • Mobile: Swift, Kotlin
  • Data: Big Query, Looker, Spark, Python
  • We practice continuous integration and delivery, we update Malt around 70 times per week in production. We intensively use Datadog for production monitoring and alerting.

  • About you 🧑‍🚀

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • You have significant experience in Java or Kotlin
  • Understanding data modelling, database fundamentals, API design, caching and architecture patterns
  • You are not only driven by technical challenges. You master a pragmatic development approach
  • You are using best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring
  • You are interested in approaches around good practices of coding (clean code, DDD, scalability, security...)
  • You are used to working with non-technical stakeholders
  • You can discuss and challenge topics around timing, production, delivery, business impact, roadmap...
  • Fluent in spoken and written English- "it is our business language"
